the winter weather advisory is now in effect until 10 AM EST this morning.
* timing: scattered snow showers will linger across the region
into the early morning hours on tuesday. while snow shower
activity has diminished, roadways will remain hazardous through
the overnight hours and into tuesday morning.
* main impact: while snow shower activity has diminished, surface
temperatures are expected to drop into the upper teens
overnight. slick roads and dangerous travel conditions are
expected to continue overnight and into tuesday morning. not all
locations will see negative travel impacts overnight, however
motorists should be prepared for sudden changes to road
conditions, especially on untreated roads, bridges and
overpasses. road conditions are expected to improve by mid-
morning on tuesday.
