Winter Weather Advisory in Effect From noon EST /11 AM Cst/
Today to 6 AM EST /5 AM Cst/ Sunday... 

the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a winter
weather advisory for snow, which is in effect from noon EST /11
am cst/ today to 6 AM EST /5 AM cst/ sunday.

* timing: snow will develop early this afternoon west of
 i-65, and expand eastward into the bluegrass region and the
 lake cumberland area by mid-afternoon. the heaviest snow will
 fall during the late afternoon hours. 

* main impact: snowfall accumulations around an inch in just a few
 hours will result in slick road conditions late this afternoon
 and early this evening. 

* other impacts: even after the snow tapers off during the late
 evening hours, slick road conditions will persist for much of
 the night as temperatures fall to around 20 degrees.
