the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a
* flash flood warning for,
bourbon county in east central kentucky,
northern clark county in east central kentucky,
northeastern fayette county in east central kentucky,
southern harrison county in east central kentucky,
nicholas county in east central kentucky,
scott county in east central kentucky,
this includes the city of georgetown...
* until 910 PM EDT
* at 604 PM EDT, local law enforcement officials reported flash
flooding from a thunderstorm over the warned area.
* locations impacted include, cadentown, carlisle, georgetown,
paris, thoroughbred acres...
in addition, georgetown scott county airport, jacksonville and
moon lake estates are included in this flash flood warning.
flash flood prone areas in this warning,
north elkhorn creek overflows huffman mill road.
eagle creek overflows highway 32 at burgess smith road.
additional rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. the water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. move to higher ground.
report flooding to local law enforcement or post your report to the
