the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for, 
 northeastern anderson county in east central kentucky, 
 northern fayette county in east central kentucky, 
 this includes the city of lexington, 
 southern franklin county in east central kentucky, 
 southern scott county in east central kentucky, 
 northern woodford county in east central kentucky... 

* until 1010 PM EDT

* at 936 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
 severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess
 of 60 mph.  this storm was located near mckees crossroads, moving
 east at 20 mph.

* the severe thunderstorm will also impact, 
 bryan station, 
 versailles, 
 thoroughbred acres, 
 northland, 
 meadowthorpe, 
 bonita, 
 wallace and midway, 
 faywood and zion hill, 
 elk chester and paynes depot... 

precautionary/preparedness actions... 

widespread wind damage is expected. winds may knock down trees and
power lines, and damage buildings and homes. take cover now!
