the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for, 
 bourbon county in east central kentucky, 
 northwestern clark county in east central kentucky, 
 fayette county in east central kentucky, 
 this includes the city of lexington, 
 southern harrison county in east central kentucky, 
 southern scott county in east central kentucky, 
 this includes the city of georgetown, 
 northeastern woodford county in east central kentucky... 

* until midnight EDT

* at 1128 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
 line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in
 excess of 60 mph.  these storms were located along a line extending
 from skinnersburg to faywood to gaybourn, moving east at 45 mph.

* severe thunderstorms will also impact, 
 georgetown, 
 veterans park, 
 fayette mall, 
 u k arboretum, 
 dunbar high school, 
 muddy ford and south elkhorn, 
 lees lick and georgetown scott county airport, 
 broadwell and lair, 
 austerlitz and becknerville... 

precautionary/preparedness actions... 

excessive lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors
immediately! stay away from windows.
