the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for, 
 western bourbon county in east central kentucky, 
 northern clark county in east central kentucky, 
 northeastern fayette county in east central kentucky, 
 southern harrison county in east central kentucky, 
 eastern scott county in east central kentucky... 

* until 615 PM EDT

* at 532 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
 severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail, and
 damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  this storm was located near
 hutchison, moving east at 10 mph.

* the severe thunderstorm will also impact, 
 bryan station, 
 thoroughbred acres, 
 paris, 
 cynthiana, 
 cadentown, 
 monterey, 
 clintonville, 
 sidville and brentsville, 
 silver lake... 

precautionary/preparedness actions... 

take cover in a substantial shelter. this storm will produce a burst
of damaging winds, large hail, torrential rains, and frequent
lightning. minor flooding is possible in low spots.
