the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a
* severe thunderstorm warning for,
bourbon county in east central kentucky,
northern fayette county in east central kentucky,
southern nicholas county in east central kentucky,
eastern scott county in east central kentucky...
* until 600 PM EST
* at 530 PM EST, trained weather spotters reported a severe
thunderstorm producing ping pong ball size hail, and destructive
winds in excess of 70 mph. this storm was located near new zion,
moving east at 65 mph.
* the severe thunderstorm will also impact,
paris,
monterey and brentsville,
escondida and stony point,
little rock and jackstown,
plum and east union...
golf ball sized hail and 60 mph winds have already been reported
with this storm!
this storm could produce a tornado at a moments notice!
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. if a tornado
is spotted, move quickly to a place of safety in a sturdy
structure, such as a basement or small interior room.
