the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a
* severe thunderstorm warning for,
northeastern anderson county in east central kentucky,
northwestern fayette county in east central kentucky,
southern franklin county in east central kentucky,
southern scott county in east central kentucky,
this includes the city of georgetown,
northern woodford county in east central kentucky...
* until 545 PM EST
* at 507 PM EST, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing golf ball size
hail, and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. these storms
were located along a line extending from big eddy to birdie,
moving east at 60 mph.
* severe thunderstorms will also impact,
interstate 64 between frankfort and lexington,
lexington,
georgetown,
versailles,
thoroughbred acres,
lawrenceburg,
highlands...
this storm could produce a tornado at a moments notice! take shelter
right now!
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. if a tornado
is spotted, move quickly to a place of safety in a sturdy
structure, such as a basement or small interior room.
this storm will produce damaging hail, capable of causing extensive
