the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a

* tornado warning for, 
 fayette county in east central kentucky, 
 this includes the city of lexington, 
 jessamine county in east central kentucky, 
 eastern woodford county in east central kentucky... 

* until 515 PM EST... 

* at 434 PM EST, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
 severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado. this dangerous
 storm was located near wilmore, moving northeast at 85 mph.

* this tornadic storm will also impact, 
 veterans park, 
 fayette mall, 
 u k arboretum, 
 dunbar high school, 
 bryan station, 
 brannon and south elkhorn, 
 fenwick and columbus, 
 avon... 

large hail may be possible as well so take shelter now!

precautionary/preparedness actions... 

take cover now. move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. avoid windows. if in a vehicle or outdoors, move to
the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying
debris.

to report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. they will relay your report to the National Weather Service
in louisville.
