the National Weather Service in louisville has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for, 
 southern clark county in east central kentucky, 
 southeastern fayette county in east central kentucky, 
 central jessamine county in east central kentucky, 
 northern madison county in east central kentucky... 

* until 950 PM EDT

* at 907 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
 severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail, and
 damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  this storm was located near
 valley view, moving southeast at 30 mph.

* the severe thunderstorm will also impact, 
 richmond, 
 stringtown and baldwin, 
 blue grass and million, 
 ford and lisletown, 
 redhouse and hillcrest... 

precautionary/preparedness actions... 

excessive lightning is occurring with this storm. move indoors
immediately! stay away from windows.
